PDF & Branding
Download a quote as a PDF, send it yourself, and add a watermark behind every page.
Every quote in Quotejam is a print-ready A4 document. You can download it as a PDF and send it yourself, or share a link and let Quotejam deliver it. Both produce the same file.
Downloading a Quote as a PDF
- Open the quote
- Click Download PDF in the top-right corner
- The file saves as
QT-202609-0001.pdf, named after the quote number
You can do this at any stage — draft, finalized, or already sent. Nothing is sent to your customer when you download.
The file you download is the file your customer receives. If the quote has already been sent, Quotejam serves the exact PDF behind their link rather than building a new one, so the two can never drift apart. For a quote you haven’t sent yet, the PDF is rebuilt each time you download it, so it always reflects your latest edits.
Sending it yourself
If you’d rather attach the quote to your own email, download it and send it from your own mail client. Sharing through Quotejam is optional — the only thing you give up is view and download tracking, since a file you send yourself can’t report back.
Printing
The Preview tab has a Print button, which opens your browser’s print dialog. Use this for a paper copy. To save a file, use Download PDF instead — it produces a cleaner result, because it’s generated server-side at a fixed A4 size rather than depending on your browser’s print settings.
Adding a Watermark
A watermark is a faint mark behind the content of every page — your logo, or a word like CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT.
- Go to Quotation Settings → Quote Style
- Open the Branding section
- Set Watermark to Company logo or Custom text
- Adjust Strength until it sits comfortably behind your line items
- Save
The watermark appears on screen, in the printed page, and in the downloaded PDF. It applies to every quote your organization creates, on every page.
Company logo
Uses the logo you’ve already uploaded in Settings → Organization. If you haven’t uploaded one, the option tells you so rather than silently doing nothing.
Custom text
Up to 40 characters, drawn in your primary brand colour. Short words read best — a full company name at watermark size competes with the line items rather than sitting behind them.
Choosing a strength
Start low. A watermark is meant to be noticed only when looked for; if it makes prices harder to read on a printed page, it’s too strong. Anything between 2% and 30% is allowed, and the default of 8% suits most logos. Dense logos and long words generally want less than that.
Company Letterhead
Rendering quotes onto an existing letterhead or template file isn’t supported yet. The watermark above is the closest equivalent, and for most businesses it covers the same need — putting your mark on the page rather than sending a blank white document.
If you have a letterhead you need supported, send it to [email protected]. Layouts vary a lot between businesses, so we’re collecting real examples before building this rather than guessing at a format.
What Your Customer Sees
When you share a quote, your customer opens a link showing the same PDF you downloaded, and they can download a copy themselves. You can see when they viewed it on the quote’s Activity tab.
